Waffles

Description

I love hot and crispy waffles with maple syrup! These waffles are light and crispy. A great option for breakfast or a snack (with peanut butter and jelly!).

I've always loved making and eating waffles. These waffles are thin waffles, not the thicker Belgian waffles.

It can be tough to find a standard waffle maker, as Belgian waffles have become so popular. I'd recommend checking at Crate and Barrel or Williams Sonoma.

Waffles

Tips

Waffles come out of the waffle maker ver crispy, but they get softer and lose their crispiness after a few minutes. Eat them right away!

You'll need to test out the settings on your waffle maker to get the ideal crispiness level for your liking.

List of Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1.75 Cups of Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup of Dairy-Free Butter (melted and cooled)

Recipe Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt
  2. Mix the dry ingredients to combine evenly
  3. Add the Almond Milk to the mixing bowl
  4. Add the Egg and Vanilla Extract to the mixing bowl and mix well
  5. Melt the butter in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup and add it to the mixture (incorporate well)
  6. Preheat the waffle maker (I use a setting about 3/4 of the way to full for a crispy waffle)
  7. Once the waffle maker is heated, add enought mixture to cover the waffle iron (the mixture will puff up so don't overfill!)
  8. Once the waffle maker indicates that the waffles are done, use tongs to take the waffles out
  9. Serve hot and with syrup!
